"Kinofragmente"

This project originated during the years I worked as a cinema projectionist in Italy. Working with motion picture film on a daily basis led me to see it not only as a projection medium, but also as a material with its own visual and aesthetic value.

My collages are created using authentic motion picture film, carefully assembled by hand. Through cutting, layering, and recomposing individual film frames, I transform a medium originally intended for moving images into static artworks.

My practice is driven by the idea of giving new purpose to a material that is becoming increasingly rare, while preserving its physical qualities and its connection to the history of cinema.

Each collage is a unique piece that reinterprets motion picture film as a visual material rather than simply a support for projection.
